What resolution should the image have?

A digital image has no resolution, a camera has resolution, a scanner has resolution, a monitor has resolution, a printer has resolution. A digital image also has no linear dimensions.
The dimensions of a digital image are the number of points vertically and horizontally.
A digital image’s metadata may include dimensions and resolution for printing. These parameters can be taken into account by the output device driver.
Resolution is measured in DPI – number of dots per inch.
When processing a digital photo, it doesn’t really matter what resolution is specified.
What matters is the size in pixels.

Why doesn’t Photoshop save in JPEG?

There are two most common reasons:
– The image is 16-bit. This often happens after RAW conversion or after opening a 16-bit teef.
You need to convert it to 8 bits.
Image -> Mode -> 8 bits/channel.
– The picture is in Lab color space. Converted to RGB.
Image -> Mode -> RGB color.

Why did the cursor in Photoshop become a cross?

The cursor becomes a cross when Caps Lock is pressed.

What is cropping?

Cropping is a basic step in photo processing. With its help, the photographer selects the most appropriate angle, location and direction of the photo. This stage focuses the viewer’s attention on the most important object in the frame. It tells the viewer where to start reading the photo.

What is a layer-mask?

A layer mask is an image in grayscale. The area of the image shaded in black is hidden, and the area of the photo shaded in white is visible. The different levels of transparency are determined by grayscale. In other words, the Layer Mask is responsible for the transparency of the image when retouching a photo. The white color in the mask is 100% opacity, the black color is 100% transparency, and the different levels of gray color regulate the degrees of transparency.

What is frequency decomposition?

Frequency decomposition is a method of skin retouching with preservation of the original texture, which allows you to retouch in a natural format instead of a glossy one.
