SOUTH PLAZA ISLAND, GALAPAGOS, ECUADOR - MARCH 2007: A sign marks the end of the line for tourists on South Plaza Island in the Galapagos. All areas on the islands that are open to tourists are strictly regulated, keeping visitors to designated paths and view platforms. These relatively small zones are usually well maintained and kept clean of trash, leading visitors to the false impression that areas not open to tourists are more pristine than those that are. In fact, the opposite is often true. (Photo by Eric Rorer/Aurora)
