SANTIAGO ISLAND, GALAPAGOS - MARCH 2007: A marine iguana, one of the Galapagos' most iconic species, wanders through trash that has drifted onto the shore of Santiago Island's Cape Trenton. Beach trash like this is rarely seen in areas open to tourists. Locations set aside for tourist visitation are small and well maintained. Unfortunately this creates a false impression among tourists that areas closed to tourists must be even more pristine. As seen in this photo, the opposite is often true. (Photo by Eric Rorer/Aurora)
