SANTIAGO ISLAND, GALAPAGOS, ECUADOR - MAY 2006: Dr. Frank Sulloway photographs a wasps nest (Polistes versicolor) on Santiago Island in the Galapagos. As an invasive specie from the Ecuadorian mainland, the wasps have no natural competitors in the Galapagos so their population has exploded. Sulloway is interested in the wasps as part of a larger photographic project documenting the islands' rapidly changing ecosystem. (Photo by Eric Rorer/Aurora) (releasecode: rorer_0008)
